He loved no matter what, which I consider a miracle. He loved when He was tired. He loved when people did nothing but demand things from Him. He loved when being crucified. It is not so much WHO He loved for me; we can all do mental gymnastics to persuade ourselves to love a part of someone even if it is excruciating at first. Just their common humanity can be loved, with a lot of effort. But it is the consistency of His love that baffles me. And that His love isn't the namby-pamby love it is often presented as being. He loved powerfully with truth, which brought hope and change. His love didn't leave people hurting or broken. His love didn't hide problems, it freed people from them. His love wasn't manipulative for He wanted nothing from anyone. He was complete in God. His love was so much who H was He couldn't stop it flowing out of Him AT ALL TIMES. He wasn't a soppy poet. He wasn't a hopeless romantic. His love protected the weak and humbled the proud. His love was unstoppable. His love was wise not stereotyped or for appearances. Imagine a love that never fails to do what is right and stand for you and win for you. Imagine that love in a flesh suit. You got Jesus.
